Forgiveness

FORGIVENESS: The grandkids held the new chicks gently and all seemed quite
blissful. However, in the excitement, one chick got under foot, squishing
it. Many hugs, tears and sad feelings flowed. We emphasized the fact that
accidents do happen. The grandkids were so curious about why exactly the
chick died that when I suggested an autopsy they were ALL into it. After
more conversation about living fully in the moment…the idea of a full life
being as short as 1 day in the case of the Luna Moth or 1 week in the case
of this little chick, or 84 years for Grandpa Ralph and hundreds of years
in the case of some trees, we made a little grave and each said something
about the little chick. Six year old granddaughter said she wanted to name
the little chick, “Forgiveness🙏“
